Silly Bananas...

He will eat your soul, yo! Haha! I love it when he does stupid random things like this. Warms my heart! And no, he wasn't hungry. He's been teething for a while now (not cutting yet, just teething) so he'll randomly start chewing on anything that gets close enough to his mouth.

As one of my friends pointed out, he has the rocker sign thrown up here. But he just looked so cute, and I love this pirate shirt on him! No joke! :)

Smiling during some playtime! He's so happy! I love it! He's not happy all the time, don't get me wrong, but he's happy more often then he's upset/mad.

Ok, ok, this is all me! I love the moose! And when I found this outfit at a consignment shop, I had to get it! I'm bummed that it won't fit him for much longer, but I wanted to see him in it, so we waited for a cold day and plopped him in it. He loves being toasty, anyways, so he didn't mind.

Snoozing with his belly out. :D This was right after a feeding.

He was doing it wrong. But it was too cute!

His favorite star blanket! He now has 3 of them because we misplaced the first one and bought 2 more to replace it, and then found the missing one. We just figure it means we always have one! ;)

He stuffs his blankets in his face. Such a weirdo. But don't worry, he pulls them down. This is generally a sign that he's sleepy.

Playing with the rattle one of our friends got him! He's figuring it out as he's only had it for 3 days now, but he's definitely intrigued. He's silly, though, and tries to shove the handle into his mouth to chew on it, but at the same time, tries to shove his fingers in there too. Silly guy. <3

Aaaaand here's some videos! :DDD

This one is of him playing with his rattle:

And this one is him playing with his piano that he loves:

Until next time! :) Sorry, I just LOVE posting pictures of him!

We LOVE Playtime!

This picture wasn't from playtime, but I wanted to show him in the Huggies jeans diapers that I got in that amazing deal at Babies R' Us. $.25 for a bag of 40? Yes, please! He just looked too cute. He likes just chilling in a diaper and t-shirt, so this is a great compromise! :)

Anyways!

Honestly, how many babies have you met that don't enjoy playtime?
Probably none. And Bananas is no exception. He loves playing first thing in the morning and is all smiles and goofiness!

One morning, he was putting his fingers in the corners of his mouth and trying to talk, which was super cute to begin with, but it made it look like he was trying to make faces, which made me melt!

Then dad got a hold of him to play the favorite "flying" game that Bananas loves!

He lets dad know when he's taking too long by trying to gnaw on dad's hand. :P

And once he's up, he's amazed by the new perspective and smiles and talks to us. Such a happy boy!

This one is mommy's guilty pleasure as I have an obsession with the moose! So when I found a moose toy, I had to get it! He was overwhelmed by the size at first, but is starting to learn how to play with it to his liking. :)

This is a toy that technically gets put up in the crib, but I've just been holding it so he can be propped up. It plays sounds and music when he hits the keys with his feet, and the different colors behind the animals light up with the music. This was his first time getting to watch the lights and everything, and he LOVED it! He played with this alone for a good 30mins before he got fussy.

He loves being "naked" too! Lol. We ask him if he wants to be naked and he gets all excited and smiles and talks to us. So we'll take him out of his onesie and let him be in just a diaper. He loves it, so it's not hurting him when he's inside. And he loves mommy time! It's been hard going back to work, but I just have to remind myself that it's for all of our best interest. Because we can't exactly support our baby without income. So yea. Plus it gives me something to look forward to on those hard days at work: COMING HOME TO MY BOYS! :)))

Fair, fair, everywhere! (IMAGE HEAVY!)

So as I'd mentioned before (a long time ago lol), we took Bananas to the county fair for the first time this year! :) We went on the 23rd of July, the day before the last day of the fair. I know that he won't remember any of it, but I figure the stimulation is always good for him, and he has fun still! <3 So this was our trip:

This was how he started off, as always! He passes out in the car almost all the time! It's nice, but it also means he's not awake for anything right off the bat. He did wake up shortly after this time, however, but I think that was because of the sun and heat. Oh man!

This was one of the cows in the 4H club area. The first cow that Banana's seen! :) Lol. Random things make me happy. Oh well.

We've been the past 2 years and they have this "Rainforest" area where they have all these exotic creatures that you really can't see in the area, some that you won't even see in a zoo. Plus, you can kinda interact with them more. Which is amazing! So here's some of the animals:

Monkey! Who doesn't love monkies? Seriously. Last year, this guy hated Kevin and jumped around in his cage hollering at him. It was great. This year, he had food, so he was content to just sit there.

These guys were super cute, but have always been asleep. I think they may have been nocturnal? I'm not sure.

Perty birdies! :D

TURTLE TURTLE! They have this weird turtle shell thing that you can put yourself in and take a pic of. Kevin did it last year, but this year there were kids swarming all over it, so we opted out.

These guys smell like popcorn! Seriously. They make me hungry!

Porcupine! Their tails are like a rat's. But huge. It's kinda nasty.

They also have a baby crocodile and a boa constrictor that you can hold and take a picture with. Which is great, and the money you pay for it all goes to the animals and caring for them. :) So it's good stuff going on there! This was our picture from this year:

This isn't the one that we paid for, but I'm too lazy to take a picture of the picture and upload it. So I stole this one from my mom. :P

They also had scorpions.
THAT YOU COULD FREAKIN' HOLD!
So my dad did. He did it last year too!

And so did the boy.

And holy crap, something weird struck my fancy, and even I held the little guy!
They're weird by the way. They're not like normal insects at all.
With their legs, you'd expect them to be pokey because of the pointy tips, but they actually kinda tickle. Weird. Very weird.
And this is a HORRIBLE picture, by the way. Lol.

We had sno cones, which was great fun. :)

My mom enjoyed the time with her grandson, who was amazingly awake for pretty much the entire time!

Some of our favorite things from the exhibits:

Civil War "re-enactment" board. The boy loved this. He loves history. 'Nuff said.

And someone made Wall-E out of Kinex! Sweetness!

^Baby.

And below is the mom. Who is HUGE. Ridiculous.

And this is my baby! :) He had a blasty blast! Not only seeing everyone and getting to "play" with everyone, but also with all the bright colors and sounds at the fair. I loved how happy he was! Made everything totally worth it!

Next trip he won't remember: Disneyland! Haha. Though it's really more of a trip for mom and dad. We're definitely planning on taking him when he's big enough to ride the rides and remember everything. But I'm sure he'll still enjoy it. :) Besides, these times are more for mom and dad's memories, as he won't remember a thing. So yea.

That was our trip! We had a blast and I can't wait to take him again next year! I love this little guy! <3333

A Few Of My Favorite Things

I have quite a few random pictures that I wanted to post up here, but didn't want to take 50 posts and do them all individually. So I'm just throwing them into this lump post! :]

Pictures galore! Yaaaaay! :D

This is how he is after he naps in bed with mom & dad. We snuggle him up to us on his side and he's perfectly content to stay that way after we've gotten up. We don't let him do this too often, but if he's having a hard time sleeping or just wakes up WAY too early, it helps him a lot. Plus we love it. ;]

Mommy & Baby! <3
What more is there to say?
I'm a sucker for this boy!

This is the Spongebob onesie my mom bought for him before he was even born. :]
He of coarse has no idea who Spongebob is at this point, but I'm sure he'll know eventually.
Mom loves that show too, after all lol.

We bought him this sleeper sack when we were getting things off his registry we wanted but didn't get. It wasn't on our list, but he's outgrown all his little nightgowns and loves having his legs free. We figured this was a safer solution then just throwing a receiving blanket over him. And he seems to love it.
BUT HE LOOKS LIKE AN ALIEN!
Lol not really. But it does look oddly futuristic!

His nap time buddy! Seriously, he loves this lion blanket. If he's not wanting to nap, but seems tired, we throw him into his bouncer and give him this blanket buddy and a pacifier, and he usually passes out pretty quickly. It's so cute!

And this is how he looks after he's fallen asleep while eating. Lol. Plus I love the onesie. :]

He's growing so quickly and I can't believe it! It saddens me that I had to go back to work and am missing so much of his growing and accomplishments. But as long as he never feels like I've abandoned him, I can deal with it. Plus, he stays awake until I get home, eats, and then falls asleep. And it is nice to have a little mom & dad time at night. But I do love this little guy. He may not have been expected, but he's the best thing that has ever happened to me!
